German Academy of Music Therapy – Site Map

The GERMAN ACADEMY OF MUSIC THERAPY is a mile-stone in music history and stands – according to its founder the classical composer and musicologist Peter Huebner – as a sign of gratitude to all those great therapeutic talents or educational geniuses, who, through all these times, kept the inner reality of music alive out of their very own love of music. We know these outstanding personalities as out great classical composers.

The GERMAN ACADEMY OF MUSIC THERAPY is also a symbol of the generation of a new time, which with scientific preciseness, penetrates and systematically explores the mechanism of creative musical powers, wanting to authentically adopt the therapeutic art of our great masters of music for the fields of health and education.

The first feeling of success the modern music therapy student has is in the training of his creative hearing music – that ability which has always constituted the timeless, true inner base of salutary music.

In the GERMAN ACADEMY OF MUSIC THERAPY, the student authentically investigates the musical origin of our great masters of music deep in his inner self, and studies the ancient curative development of all great musical master pieces up to the world of “interpretation”: the authentic development of a music lover to the true composer of curative music.

In an almost adventurous way, the student at the GERMAN ACADEMY OF MUSIC THERAPY carries out basic research of the natural curative laws of music and the laws of musical educational powers, which can raise music to the light of objective healthy effectiveness.
Here the student succeeds for the first time in modern music research to get a real intellectual insight into the medically effective music forge of our great masters of music.
